Writing books is great: sharing the excitement of the creative process is just as good. Most of my work these days comes from word-of-mouth or repeat bookings, but if you can be flexible about dates, or give me plenty of notice, I would be delighted to join you at your book festival or creative writing event.

For schools, libraries and festivals, a typical day’s booking will include three talks and/or workshop sessions, with an optional ‘Meet the Author’ book signing.

For adults, especially those who work with children, I offer a workshop in making a story just for the buzz of it, with no mention whatsoever of literacy targets. The knock-on effect of getting teachers and librarians to write themselves is seen in the improved performance of the children to whom they pass on their skills and enthusiasm.

I am also happy to take bookings for conferences and after-dinner speeches.  Whatever the audience and occasion, I like to work with the person making the booking to ensure that my part in your event is tailored to ensure the best experience for everyone.
